The digital economy

Purposeful finance. New possibilities.

Our Islamic digital-finance agenda brings together digital asset infrastructure, a proposed peer-to-peer marketplace and research-led enterprise development. The ambition is to create useful financial infrastructure aligned with Islamic principles, connecting digital technology with productive activity, education and opportunities for wider economic participation.

Islamic Digital Finance

Technology in service of a clear purpose.

Our proposed digital asset applications are designed around defined technical and economic frameworks. Their intended financial uses require appropriate structuring and qualified Sharia review before any certification or product-specific compliance claim. The substance of the transaction, the rights of participants and the responsibilities of each party guide the design.

The wider programme connects peer-to-peer exchange infrastructure with research, education, investment and enterprise initiatives. These components are considered together as a long-term platform for digital participation, with clear roles for technology development, marketplace operation and financial activities.

Our focus

Where we concentrate.

01

Digital asset applications

Our development agenda considers network architecture, participant access and the administration of clearly defined economic interests. Islamic-finance positioning depends on the actual terms of each arrangement and the governance established around its products and services. Technical design and qualified review are coordinated throughout development.

02

A marketplace for enterprise

Our proposed marketplace is organised around peer-to-peer participation and structured transaction processes. The wider vision includes serving small entrepreneurs and businesses pursuing halal activities. Product selection, settlement conditions and platform responsibilities are designed to be explicit, with the relevant activities considered through appropriate Sharia and regulatory review.

03

Research and development

Research and education support the exploration of financial structures aligned with Islamic principles. Areas of interest include enterprise development, venture participation and financing approaches that avoid interest-based lending where applicable, with implementation dependent on the terms and governance of each programme.

04

Investment, science and technology

The roadmap considers private-equity, venture and alternative-investment initiatives, alongside support for science and technology research across the Islamic world. Digital asset tokenisation applications, including gold and diamonds, are assessed where rights, custody and transaction terms can be established within a suitable structure.

Our approach

From conviction to execution.

Define the arrangement

Specify the activity, rights, obligations and economic substance of the network service, marketplace transaction or proposed financial product.

Establish oversight

Bring technical, operational, legal and qualified Sharia assessment into the development of the relevant structure and documentation.

Enable participation

Prepare education, onboarding and market access that explain how the arrangement works and the responsibilities of its participants.
